The Castilian Pattern

In Spain there are two regional patterns that are available throughout the country. One of it is the Castilian. It can be bought in two variations: with 40 cards (per suit: 1-7, J, R, K) and with 48 cards (per suit: 1-9, J, R, K). The 48 card version often has two additional cards, either Jokers that are called "Comodín" or manufacturer cards. The cards are numbered (from 1-7 and 10 to 12 or 1-12 per suit). The border lines have - depending on the suit - a different number of interruptions. Coin none, cup top and bottom 1, sword 2 and club 3 interruption on top and bottom.

There were some experiments with converting this pattern to double faced. In the year 1968 to the one hundredth anniversary of the card manufacturer Heraclio Fournier such a game was issued. Later there was a reprint of these cards. I also saw such double faced cards as miniature cards made in Argentina.
