The French or Belgian-Genoese Pattern

This pattern is known in several countries and also with a different number of cards. It is the main pattern in France and often also called French national pattern. There it mostly is released with 32 cards (per suit: 7-10, J, Q, K, A). It is also used in the French speaking part of Belgium and there called Belgian-Genoese pattern. In Italy these cards are just called "Genovesi" (Genoese). The Genovesi are available with three different numbers of cards. Normally the packs with 40 cards are sold (per suit: 1-7, J, Q, K). Rather rare are decks with 36 cards (per suit: 6-10, J, Q, K, A). These cards are also issued in a 52 cards deck (per suit: 1-10, J, Q, K).
